It was 11pm...

The night was dead silent...

The air was so cold...

I was alone...

All alone!

He wasn't back!

My boo boo wasn't home...

He never stayed out so long!

Where are you Ifemi?

His mobile wasn't going through...

My pings were not delivering...

Communication was next to zero...

For I couldn't get through to him no matter how desperately I tried.

I pressed my nose against the window...

Praying silently that he comes home...

I couldn't keep back the tears from flowing...

The lump in my throat rose with no warning...

Ifemi! Where are you?

"Tap 'tap..

A knock on the door!

I ran towards the wooden frame 'n tore it open.

I gasped at the sight I saw!

There he was...my 'Ifemi...

Leaning weakly against the door.

His cloths were torn nd patterned with stains of red!

'What happened?' I screamed...wide eyed...

'I was robbed'...he gasped.

'Oh my!'

'I'm glad you are home'...

'Oh, I couldn't bear the thought of loosing you'. I repeated, planting my lips warmly on his hands.

'That's what kept me fighting my dear'...he said.

I held him close to me, totally embraced in his arm.

'I'm glad you are home Ifemi.

I'm glad He kept you.

For without you, I am voiD'...I whispered.
