Album chart. On Sunday,
August 12, the Official
Charts Company announced
that the Bajan songstress
has successfully returned to
the top spot of the Britain
album rankings with her
album "Talk That Talk".
Released in November 2011,
"Talk That Talk" has been on
the Top 40 for 38 weeks. It
was the second non-
consecutive week the album placed first as it nears 1 million
sales in Britain. Forbes magazine reported that the record
has helped Riri earn an estimated $53 million in the past 12
months leading to May this year.
"Talk That Talk", which landed on the fourth place last
Wednesday, leapfrogged Plan B's "Ill Manors", which was
initially poised to reclaim the number one spot on the U.K.
chart. Plan B eventually stayed at the runner-up position,
followed by Maroon 5 with their album "Overexposed".
Trailing behind the Adam Levine-fronted band was Emeli
Sande's "Our Version of Events", while Paloma Faith's "Fall
to Grace" rounded up the top five of the U.K. Album chart.
