Election Petition: Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina congratulates Governor Abiola Ajimobi

Adesina has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator
Abiola Ajimobi over his victory at the election petition tribunal.
In a statement issued by the Lawmaker, he lauded the Three man panel of
judges over the landmark judgment, having critically examined the
issues of the April 11
elections as filed by the petitioner and subsequently find it unworthy
to nullify or subvert the wishes of the electorates in the 33 local
governments making up Oyo state, which affirmed the pronouncement of the
electoral umpire to declare His Excellency Senator Abiola Ajimobi the
winner.
“This is to congratulate His
Excellency Senator Abiola Ajimobi on his Judicial victory at the
Governorship Election Tribunal thus confirming the popular votes given
to the people’s Governor by the majority of the people in a free, fair,
transparent and peaceful governorship election”
Adding that “The Tribunal judgement is sound, credible and wise because
the Three Man Panel of Judges did a thorough job in examining all issues
brought before it to arrive at the verdict upholding the re-election of
the governor and majority of the people in the State are satisfied with
the judgment as a true position of the election”.
The
Governor has in his modest experience of corporate governance
transformed Oyo state in 4years which necessitated his re-election. He
has finally broken the jinx.
This verdict is a
testimony that the overwhelming support you enjoyed during the polls is
legitimate. And the consequent jubilation across the length and breadth
of the state after the judicial pronouncement is legendary and a strong
propelling force that our party, The All Progressives Congress (APC)
had proved to be a better alternative.
