Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina Celebrates Teachers On World Teachers Day

The Honourable Member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal constituency in the house of representatives Abuja; Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has felicitated with teachers on the occasion of "World Teachers Day" marked globally every October 5th within the country particularly primary and secondary school teachers from Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East Local Governments of Oyo State.

In a statement released on his behalf by his media assistant this morning, The Honourable himself, a son of a former History and English Language teacher turned principal said, "teaching is a noble profession, first among equals because they are destiny builders, life changers, passionate counselors, career molders, character shapers and future instructors". They are the best producers of finished products as every President, Senator, Honourable, Professor, Engineer, Pilot etc was trained by a teacher.

While rejoicing with the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) wings of Ibadan North East and South East "Omo Oloore" as fondly called by admirers reiterate his unflinching commitment and genuine desire to partner with the local unions in reshaping the educational sector of his constituency.

"Let's keep working together as progressive partners towards an enviable goal in securing brighter future for all our students", he added.

I also appreciate your unquantifiable assistance towards the success recorded so far under our education intervention tagged "Omo Oloore Education Development Scheme" where we have provided free NECO GCE forms for indigent students and writing materials for Primary One pupils in public primary schools.

Lastly, I pledged my allegiance to remain a voice within the National assembly championing for a better and improved welfare package for our teachers.

Once again, I congratulate all teachers on the celebration of this year 2015: World Teachers Day.
