Alert: Hon. Dapo Lam Adesina Sets Another Record


The Honourable member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Abuja, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has once again blazed the trail in the need for public office holders to be transparent and continually earn the trust of citizens.







The Young Lawmaker fondly called “Omo Oloore” made history as he hosted the 1st of its kind Accountability Town Hall meeting tagged “My Stewardship: June 2015 till Date”, held at the historic Mapo Hall on Thursday 24th December 2015. The epoch making event which had the hall filled to maximum capacity had participants comprising of religious, political and traditional leaders, community development councils(CDC), market associations, civil societies, professional bodies, youth organizations, security agencies and other stakeholders in attendance. Also present at the event were representatives of some other political parties who had invitation extended to them by Omo Oloore due to his disbelief in politics of bitterness.


In their goodwill messages, the chairman Community Development Council (CDC) Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East Local Governments at different times eulogized the young lawmaker who they said had done the unbelievable since been elected few months ago. All other speakers at the event also paid glowing tributes to the record breaking feat of the dynamic legislator, saluting his initiative at organizing the 1st ever Accountability Town Hall Meeting in the history of the Federal Constituency. While two political Leaders, Chief Ayo Eniade and Alhaji Mufu Adisa commended the transparency and performance of Hon Adesina.


The parley had the National Orientation Agency (NOA) making a special paper presentation on understanding the functions of a Legislator which was delivered by a representative of the Oyo State NOA Director. Hon. Dapo Lam Adesina in his speech enumerated his activities in the Green Chamber over the last 7months, the unhindered accessibility he has created by operating 2 functional constituency offices and a personal telephone number that has always been available since year 2001, The Omo Oloore brand which has birthed an Educational Development Scheme where free WAEC forms were distributed, Water Projects, Market Support Scheme that birthed a public toilet at Molete and support for grassroots sports development. He also assured his constituents of the gains in the motion he co-sponsored with House Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila on declaring a state of emergency on Youth unemployment in Nigeria.



Hon. Adesina also informed the constituents that he had been invited to two different countries on different occasions to discuss the framework for development in democratic environment which in turn will facilitate good partnership for developmental projects which will commence soon within the constituency through skill acquisition for our youth and women. While responding to about 40 questions from the 78 associations/organizations that graced the interactive parley, Hon. Adesina promised to constitute an advisory implementation committee which will fast-track the fulfillment of his manifesto and serve as a feedback mechanism to provide a dependable platform for a quarterly assessment of his representation.
