Akeredolu loses polling booth, Mimiko clears Akure #OndoDecides

Results trickling in from Ondo state show that the
governorship candidate of the Action Congress of
Nigeria, Rotimi Akeredolu narrowly lost his Ijebu
Owo ward to the incumbent, Olusegun Mimiko by
139-144 votes.
However, from the result trends, Akeredolu will win
his Owo town overall.
Result trends also indicated that the ACN candidate
has the upper hand in the Akoko division of the
state, from early results reaching P.M.NEWS
The situation is different in the capital of Akure and
Ondo town, the hometown of the incumbent,
Olusegun Mimiko.
Results declared so far in polling booths in both
towns gave the Labour candidate an overwhelming
advantage. According to our reporter, Mimiko has
won these towns with a wide margin.
The PDP candidate, Olusola Oke is reported to have
done very well in the Okitipupa axis, beating both
the Labour and ACN candidates.
Early reports indicated that the ACN candidate is
trailing Oke here, while Mimiko is third.
Collated results are now being awaited from the
collating centres.:
